Providing Plumbing Parts Since 1982

June Castleman had a dream of owning her own business. Even though she had no experience in the plumbing supply industry, she was determined to make her dream a reality. With her babysitting money she had saved, her husband, John, taking out a second mortgage on their home, along with the help of an investor, Dr. Lawrence Yancey, in October 1982, All Rite Plumbing Parts was born and she opened her first store in a small shopping center in Memphis TN. With only herself and her 16 year old son, Eddie, as the only employees, she went out in the mornings to apartment owners to try to sell plumbing supplies, and in the afternoons, Eddie, delivered the orders. She handled the invoicing and pricing in the afternoons. John, helped build shelves, and as a plumber himself, gave her a lot of invaluable advice. Occasionally, she would have a customer or two come in the store to make a purchase, but it was quite the struggle in the early years. After a couple of years, the business had begun to grow enough to hire her sister and sister in law. She loved being able to give her family a way of being able to provide for their families, as family was so important to both June and John. Despite hardships and struggles, the business continued to grow!

Rely on Our Family-Owned Plumbing Parts Store

In 1985, the company opened a second location with a large warehouse, which is still operating today, at 1342 Overton Park, and then, a third location on Park Avenue was purchased in 1988. Having three stores operating was more than she had ever dreamed.

Several years later, their daughter, Christine and son, Phillip, joined the company. Christine’s business know-how and knowledge of the apartment world brought a wealth of expertise to the table and paired with Eddie and Phillip’s knowledge and hard work ethics, there was no stopping them from becoming one of the most well-known plumbing parts suppliers, especially for the odd and hard to find items, in the city. By then, the company had grown from the tiny family business to a corporation June had poured her heart into, so it was only natural to continue to expand. So, in 1995, a fourth location was added on Summer Avenue, which has become the home office for the business operations. In 1996, the decision was made to close the first location and in early 2022, to close the Park Avenue location. But the story doesn’t stop there!

In May 2022, All Rite Plumbing Parts opened it’s very first store in Mississippi! Located off Stateline Road, in Southaven, it continues to flourish and build it’s own customer base, as well as serve our regulars!

Today, All Rite Plumbing Parts, Inc. is a successful woman owned business, and operated by Christine Young, Eddie Castleman, and Phillip Castleman who carry on their parents’ legacy of taking care of not only their customers, but their employees as well, and serves the mid-south with three stores and 24 employees, in Tennessee and Mississippi.
